Into every life a little rain must fall and for our hero Luke Skywalker it fell in bucket loads when he discovered that Darth Vader was in fact his father. As if this discovery was not enough the life hope and dreams and expectations were about to get worse, having established some form of relationship with Darth the inevitable problems that exist in every family came to the surface.
The above still photograph was taken one dark December day and the look on Luke’s face tells us all we need to know – Christmas was approaching and he had his heart set on a new front door and to his pad as his main present and he wanted his “Dad” to get him it as a present.
Luke is a guy with style and the door upon which he had set his heart was one to match his image – stylish and smart , tough and durable and he wanted it with all the trimmings – and the heart wants what the heart wants – and what Luke wanted was –

For those who know doors they will realise that this was an excellent choice for an eligible bachelors residence – maybe Luke was pushing it just a little when he asked his “Dad” to include the Timber Composite Door First Class installation service as part of the deal – particularly as Darth had just had some pretty bad news from his broker re his investment portfolio and his finances were starting to feel the pinch so what was the conversation that gave rise to such glum faces –
Darth: There is no choice. I do not want to upset you. Luke, I realise how important this is. I currently do not have the buying power. Please forgive me I will try to make it up to you. Maybe in a month or two I can resolve my affairs and provide you with the door you desire.
Luke : No door , no forgiveness
Darth: there are other doors that I can afford – is this too much to ask
Luke : There are no better doors than a Solidor Timber Composite Door
Darth : No. I am your father you must choose another
Luke : NO..no….no there is no other that I desire
Darth : Search your feelings, you know that cannot be true
Luke: Nooooo! Nooooo!

Did Darth come up with the goods – well we have no record of any historical orders from a Mr Vader either at Christmas past or present so Luke is probably still out there somewhere in a galaxy far far away hanging onto a wall and screaming Nooooo!
